Clear Braces Leander

Invisalign braces in Leander

Clear braces Leander

Clear braces Leander

Invisalign braces have, among others, the advantage of being virtually undetectable to the eye. Made from clear plastic, its aligners ensure that only those whom you tell will know that you’re having orthodontic treatment. Here at Tucker Family Dentistry, we want to let you know about all of the features and benefits of this fantastic alternative to metal braces.

The most common drawbacks that people discuss about traditional metal braces, aside from the cosmetic aspect, is that they can be responsible for irritation and soreness due to friction; and also that you have to give up certain kinds of foods during your treatment. Sticky, chewy, and crunchy foods are off limits, due to the chances of them getting caught in the braces or in the case of crunchy items, causing damage to their structure. Our clear braces Leander, though, are removable. One of the few times you take them out is to eat. As a result of this, you can have anything you want without any restrictions. And when it comes to comfort, you’ll find that plastic is far superior to metal. There are two other occasions when your aligners should be taken out. One is for brushing and flossing. The other is every two weeks when you discard your current set in favor of the next ones in the series. Each set of our clear braces Leander is serving a specific role in the overall process of repositioning your teeth. And because of that, you don’t have to make continued visits to our office to get adjustments. There are no adjustments required. You simply come in for a checkup every six weeks during your orthodontic care.

Set up a convenient time for an exam and consultation to decide if you want to move forward with our clear braces Leander. Contact our office today.

Root Canal Leander

Root canal therapy in Leander

Root canal Leander

Root canal Leander

Root canal therapy is a dental procedure that’s performed by an experienced dentist to correct a dental pulp disorder. A root canal Leander is the best way to resolve the pulp disorder while simultaneously saving the person’s natural tooth. Root canal therapy is needs to be performed by an experienced dentist like ours at Tucker Family Dentistry.

A root canal Leander is performed when the pulp is damaged or diseased. The pulp is an essential part of the tooth because it contains all the vital parts necessary for the tooth to thrive. The vital parts pulp contains include the blood vessels, connective tissue, and nerves. The pulp is in the root canals which are in the center of the tooth. If the pulp is damaged and a root canal is not performed, the pulp’s infection will spread to the bone surrounding the tooth. The infected bone will not be able to hold the tooth in place any longer because of its weakened state caused by the infection. Under these circumstances, an extraction would be needed unless a root canal is done. Root canal therapy not only benefits the patient by saving the tooth but also prevents the need for additional procedures like bridges and implants. During root canal therapy, the dentist removes the diseases pulp, thoroughly cleans the canal and seals it completely. If you need a root canal, there’s no need to be worried. At Tucker Family Dentistry, you’ll receive quality, gentle dental care. We do everything possible to make your experience as anxiety-free and as pain-free as possible. You’ll receive high quality, gentle dental care in a modern, state-of-the-art practice that utilizes the latest technology. We’re available by phone if you would like to learn more about root canals or if you would like to set up your appointment.

78641 Pediatric Dentist

Pediatric dental exams and cleanings in 78641

78641 pediatric dentist

78641 pediatric dentist

Dental exams and cleanings should be part of everyone’s routine, adult and child alike. Here at Tucker Family Dentistry, we provide this service for children so that you can stay out in front of any potential issues or concerns, which includes the smooth transition from baby (primary) teeth to adult (permanent) ones.

The reason that our 78641 pediatric dentist should see your child two times per year is largely to deal with the effects of dental plaque, the film-like bacterial substance that grows on and between teeth, as well as at the gum line. And while it is well known that children are prone to cavities, it is not as understood that kids often are affected by gum disease, too. Plaque is more prominent when there is a greater consumption of sugar, so it is recommended that you keep a close watch on how much of it your child consumes. Our 78641 pediatric dentist will show your child how to brush and floss effectively, and work with him or her, as well as with you, to establish healthy habits that will last a lifetime. The reality, though, is that some plaque tends to evade the reach of your child’s oral hygiene regimen, hardening into tartar, which cannot be efficiently removed with brushing and flossing. Fortunately, our teeth cleanings take care of that. It’s like hitting the reset button on oral wellness. X-rays will reveal any cavities, so that they can be filled promptly, instead of increasing your child’s risk for a toothache and possible early loss of a tooth.

Our 78641 pediatric dentist will be your partner in looking after every essential aspect of your child’s dental health. And it only takes one visit every six months to do it. While it’s on your mind, why not call our office right now? Schedule an appointment to come in for her or his dental exam and cleaning.

Teeth Whitening in Leander

Dentist in Leander

Dentist in Leander

If you have discolored teeth and want to make them brighter, you’re not alone. Teeth discoloration is very common among even those with the best oral hygiene. Many normal activities such as drinking coffee or tea and taking certain medications can discolor teeth over time. If you’re considering teeth whitening, you should consult with a dentist in Leander to discuss the available options.

While there are many over-the-counter teeth-whitening solutions available on the market today, it’s always good to start with your dentist in Leander. While you could easily just pick up the next tooth-whitening toothpaste, whitening strips or kit, you’ll have no way of knowing if they’ll be effective or even safe for you to use. When you see an experienced dentist like ours at Tucker Family Dentistry, he will be able to make personal recommendations to you based on your oral evaluation- general and oral health, medical history and cosmetic dental goals. There are several tooth-whitening options available at the dentist office; it’s just a matter of providing the right solution for you. The following are some teeth whitening options available at the dental office: in-office bleaching, at-home bleaching (by use of a custom kit), Zoom and porcelain veneers. The in-office bleaching procedure uses trays to whiten your teeth. Your skillful dentist will help you to achieve the shade of whiteness you desire. The at-home custom bleaching kit also involves the use of trays but is done at home over a longer period of time. While you could possibly get the same results as the in-office, it may take longer. Among one of the newest available options is the ZOOM teeth whitening procedure. It is a quick and easy procedure that’s very convenient since it whitens your teeth in just 3 easy steps. Zoom is an in-office teeth-whitening procedure has to be done by an experienced, professional dentist like ours. If you have sensitivities to chemicals your dentist may recommend an alternative route such as getting porcelain veneers to whiten your teeth.

Call our office for a teeth-whitening consultation. We’ll schedule your appointment with our dentist in Leander.

Veneers in Leander TX

Dental Veneers in Leander TX

Veneers in Leander TX

Veneers in Leander TX

Do you want to have a perfect smile? At Tucker Family Dentistry, you can receive porcelain veneers in Leander TX to fix the appearance of a specific tooth, or to get the perfect smile you have long wanted.

When a patient comes to our dental practice to get dental veneers in Leander TX, they will be seen by one of our expert dentists, just one of whom is Dr. Jonathan Tucker. A patient may want to get one dental veneer to fix the appearance of a tooth which has a specific problem, or, a patient may want to get a row of veneers so that they can finally have the perfect smile they have long wanted. Our dentist will need to assess your situation to make sure that the problem being corrected

is one that can be fixed using dental veneers. Dental veneers will not strengthen your tooth or improve its function; if this is the treatment that is needed, our dentist may instead recommend that you get a crown which will cover the tooth on all sides. However, once it is determined that porcelain veneers are a good treatment for you, you will be able to have this treatment, which often does not even call for the use of any type of dental anesthesia. Porcelain veneers are thin shells of porcelain which are permanently attached to the front of the tooth. They are made to last for many years. The porcelain veneers are perfectly color-matched to adjacent teeth so no one will ever even know that you have them in your mouth. Porcelain veneers can be used to fix many different dental problems including: teeth that are too short; teeth that are slightly misaligned; teeth that are misshapen; teeth that have stains that cannot be removed with professional dental whitening methods; teeth that have uneven gaps between them; teeth that are chipped; teeth that have surface cracks in the enamel; and many other cosmetic dental problems.

For an appointment to meet with our dentist regarding getting dental veneers in Leander TX, contact us today.

Family Dental Leander

Dental Care for All Ages in Leander

Family Dental Leander

Family Dental Leander

If you are looking for an expert dental practice that will provide complete dental care for all members of your family, you will want to become familiar with our dental practice, Tucker Family Dentistry. At our dental practice, we are very happy to have the services of three expert dentists; they are Dr. Jonathan Tucker, Dr. Alisha Choucair, and Dr. Aaron Glick. Whether you are looking for expert pediatric dental care, or dental care for an aging parent, you will be very happy with the high level of dental care that is provided by our family dental Leander office.

It is recommended that children come in for their first dental visit when their first baby tooth erupts, or when they reach one year of age – whichever occurs first. This is because it is very important that baby teeth remain healthy and intact for as long as they are needed. Baby teeth play three very important roles in your child’s mouth: they act as placeholders for permanent teeth which have yet to erupt; they help with the development of your child’s clear speech; and they help your child to thoroughly chew his or her food for proper digestion. When you are looking for a dentist to provide exceptional dental care for your child, you can do no better than to come to our family dental Leander office. At our dental practice, we also offer a complete range of dental services. Whether you need to get replacements for missing teeth, or have periodic dental cleanings, or any dental services in between, you will be able to receive it at our dental practice. We make sure that all of our patients, young and old alike, are made to feel perfectly comfortable at our dental office. Our dental staff is always extremely friendly and reassuring, and our dentists provide excellent and gentle dental care for all.

For an appointment to come in to see one of our top-notch dentists at our family dental Leander office, contact us today.

Leander Root Canal

Root Canal Therapy in Leander

Leander Root Canal

Leander Root Canal

If the very mention of root canal therapy is frightening, you’re not alone. It is unfortunate that this essential and beneficial procedure has such a bad reputation. The reality is that with the equipment and methods that we use here at Tucker Family Dentistry, you can look forward to a smooth and comfortable process. Most patients report that our Leander root canal leads to very little or even no pain at all.

Why is this procedure necessary? Ordinarily, your tooth has a defense against bacteria getting inside it. Your enamel and dentin are protective layers. However, the effects of dental plaque (and its hardened form, tartar) erode those layers. At first, they only form small holes (cavities). When caught in a timely manner, our family dentist will treat it with a filling and it won’t grow any larger. But if a cavity is not addressed promptly, it eventually creates a path for bacteria to get inside. This can also occur if a filling is deep enough, such as when you have a very large cavity; or a chipped or cracked tooth. Once bacteria is inside, an infection ensues. You will likely feel pain, and it can be quite severe. That’s when you need our Leander root canal. If you don’t, the tooth may sustain so much damage that it will have to removed. It is always preferable to save it whenever possible. Depending on how many canals the tooth in question has, you may need just one session or more than one. But it’s a safe and generally successful method, usually around 90% of them take. A crown, for which you will be measured for after our Leander root canal is complete, restores the tooth to its full size, and it will then be as strong and durable as any other tooth.

Contact our office right away when you are suffering with tooth pain. If root canal is necessary, you could not be in better hands.

Leander Invisalign

Invisalign Braces in Leander

Leander Invisalign

Leander Invisalign

Do you regret the fact that you never were able to have braces when you were a teen? If so, you will be happy to know that you can now have your teeth straightened as an adult using Invisalign braces. At our Tucker Family Dentistry practice, one of our top-notch dentists, including Dr. Jonathan Tucker, can provide you with Leander Invisalign to give you the beautiful smile you have long wanted.

Many of our adult patients enjoy treatment with Leander Invisalign because it offers them a way to have orthodontic work performed without anyone knowing it. This is because Invisalign uses a series of clear plastic aligners to straighten your smile. Once our dentist determines that you are a good candidate for treatment with Invisalign, CAD/CAM computer technology will be used to create your individualized series of aligners. Depending on the bite problem that needs to be corrected, your series of aligners will have anywhere between 15 and 45 aligners in it. Treatment with Invisalign takes about the same amount of time as treatment with traditional metal braces. Each aligner in the series is worn for two weeks and will slowly move your teeth into position for the next aligner. Once you have finished wearing the last aligner in the series, you will have your beautiful new smile. If you need to attend work and social gatherings, you will be happy to know that the clear plastic aligners are virtually invisible while they are being worn. This means that no one will be able to notice that you are wearing Invisalign braces on your teeth. Our patients also enjoy treatment with Invisalign because they feel that the clear plastic aligners are much more comfortable than having to wear metal braces on their teeth which may and up irritating their gums. Our patients also enjoy the fact that they can eat anything they want during the treatment time since the aligners are removed during meals.
